What started as a part-time gig turned into something I couldn't imagine walking away from. In February, I moved to San Francisco to join the team full-time, in person. Every day, I get to build on a tool I used and loved even before ComfyOrg was a thing. Working with this incredible team, pushing the boundaries of what's possible with generative AI... it feels like a homerun.

After parting ways with Story, I went on a travel spree, posting on Instagram like there was no tomorrow. One of my friends, Yoland, who happens to be the CEO of ComfyOrg, reached out to catch up. It had been a while since we chatted, and I learned they had recently raised. I wanted to congratulate him! We shared our stories, and I mentioned my departure from Story. Instinctively, Yoland asked if I'd want to join the Comfy team. I was hesitant. I had so many side projects going and was still figuring out whether I wanted to build something from the ground up again. But Yoland proposed something I couldn't refuse: "Come work with us part-time on contract while you figure out your stuff. Whichever way you choose to go forward, I'll support your decision and have no grudges, but I'd love to have you on the team in whichever capacity we can." And that was it. The next thing I knew, I was onboard, building on the tool I had been a fan of long before there was even a company behind it.
